Community Film Festival

Get ready for Monsoon Youth’s first ever Community Film Festival! We’re looking for “film” submissions from all ages in the local community! The videos will be premiered to the public at 7PM on Saturday, August 12th at the Besh Ba Gowah/Community Center Park. Bring your own chair, snacks, drinks, etc. We’ll provide the entertainment! Completely free viewing that is open to the public and the park will remain accessible for kids to play at their leisure. Here is our definition of a viable “film”…
“A video with a clearly defined beginning, middle, and end that is under seven minutes in length.”
Videos can honestly be practically anything you can imagine in any medium you would like! Stop motion, live action, animated, machinima, etc. Our primary goal is to have fun with this project, so there are no prizes or podium placements for submitted films. They will, however, be displayed on a 19′ Projector Screen! It might not be THE “big screen”, but it is definitely a big screen!
The festival will be an outdoor event taking place @ 7PM. Further event details coming soon.
Submitted content must be family-friendly and viewable for all ages.
It should be recorded in a landscape (horizontal) aspect ratio for the best viewing experience.
Be sure to try your absolute best!
